A Bittersweet Farewell...

It is with bittersweet emotions that I reach out to my clients. After 12 years in business, I have decided to retire from photography... This decision to retire was difficult, but nevertheless one that had to be made. At this point in my life and career I find that I am no longer able to give 100% to both my clients and my family.

My clients are dear to my heart and I am fortunate to have spent the last 12 years cultivating relationships with all of you. Though I will miss being behind the camera capturing precious memories for your family, it is the time spent with my clients that I will miss the most. 

As hard as it is to say, I will not be taking any new appointments for sessions. If you find that you need to order any additional prints or products from past sessions, please contact me anytime as you will be able to do so indefinitely. 

For those memories and moments that still need to be captured, I am happy to refer you to my sister, Sam, who has mentored under me for the last two years. She has been building her business with location sessions, and will be opening her own studio on June 1st. You can view her work at www.irelanphotography.com. Be sure to mention that you were referred by Photographs by Kellie as there is a special session fee available to my past clients.

Though this is the end of Photographs by Kellie, it does not have to be goodbye as it is my hope that our paths will continue to cross. I am sad to close the studio, but very excited about this new chapter in my life.

Easter Portraits at Photographs by Kellie

The Easter Bunny is almost here! And it is time to start thinking about Easter egg hunts, family gatherings and dressing up in our Sunday Best! And be sure to hop on into Photographs by Kellie to take advantage of our Limited Edition Easter Portraits.

Last year we had such a fun time at the studio with our Easter sessions, that we just have to do it again this year. On April 2nd Photographs by Kellie will create a beautiful new set just for Easter with your children. The session fee is only $25 for a 20 minute session, with packages beginning at only $75.

Sweet Brother and Sister ~ Children's Portraits

Well after two weeks out of town I am back and at it full steam ahead. I wanted to post these images before I left but took the wrong back up drive :( So here we go... I can't tell you what a great time I had in the studio with these two. They came in for Photographs by Kellie January White Sale with mom so they could make some wonderful portrait memories for dad for his birthday. It is such a joy to follow our families as they grow. Doug and I had the pleasure of photographing their mom and dad's wedding in 2001, wow how time flies!

Fun Times at Photographs by Kellie

Love this family! We have been photographing them for year... It is so great to see their family grow and this little guy get older. Even though they live in Denver, they always try to make it back into the studio for an updated portrait session while they are in town. Their new addition has so much energy, we found lots of ways to keep him busy. He didn't want to get my wagon though, he wanted to pull it. And of course, just sitting on the trike wouldn't do, he wanted to really ride it. We laughed alot that day!

I received a call from the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce asking if I was available to be interviewed on The Busniess Voice radio program. It will be broadcast this evening at 6:00 pm on KUIK, 1360 am radio station. I am so excited and can't wait to get together with them. We'll talk about the how the portrait studio got started, business challenges, etc.
