Yesterday morning we had a great treat. Being loyal Wolf listeners, we were chosen to be part of an appearance Billy Ray Cyrus made at the station. There were about 40 people in the room as he sang and talked with Mike and Amy from the morning show. All in all it was about a 40 minute live radio performance. But for us it was like a quant mini concert. How fun to be so up close and personal with him. McDonald's provided breakfast, so we got to fill our tummies as well.
Thank you 99.5 the Wolf! We had a great time...

Downtown Family Session
Downtown Portland is such a great place for a portrait session. There are so many stunning buildings and possibilities. We started out in the park blocks and ended up by a great doorway on one of the side streets. One thought was to use the archway at one church the family had in mind, but wouldn't you know it, there was a wedding going on. We scratched that idea... and walked on. I was pleased to see that they brought along the sunflowers, they added a nice touch to a few of the images.
October has been a good shooting month, and we are hoping that November continues on the same way. There is still time to get a quick session done in time for gift portraits before Christmas. Give us a call and we'll see what we can work out! For now, hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

The "G" Family
We have been photographing this family for several years. It is hard to believe their children are growing so fast before our eyes, but that is one of the joys of this profession. We so love the relationships we are able to share with all of you that choose us to capture your families memories.
This was the first time we did a location session at the family's home. It was a nice change to be able to photograph them in their own environment. If it is about time for you to have another family portrait taken you might want to consider this option.
Doug and I shoot family and senior sessions as a team, when outdoors or on location, so we can capture different perspectives...

Family in the Park...
We had the best time with this family last weekend. We all met up at Laurelhurst Park to see what fun we could have. Max, the dog, even cooperated and gave us a little look now and then.
We had one of those great, sunny, October days, so we were avoiding the sun most of the day so the eye's wouldn't be too squinty... Hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

Got to go see our girls...
I was able to get away for a couple of days to go see our "girls" in CT! Ava doesn't seem to sit still for a minute now. She crawls almost as fast as we walk. We took a fieldtrip to the pumpkin patch and shared an ice cream cone. And of course we did a couple of "photo sessions". I tried to keep Ava laughing while Jessie got to play photographer. I did get a chance to snap a few as well. Enjoy!
Senior from West Salem High School
Alexis has such beautiful eyes, we really tried to use that to our best advantage. One way to do that is to reflect the light back in. She brought along her friend, whom I promptly put to work holding the round reflector.
When it is sunny out, we have our subject in the shadows then reflect the light in. We actually were wondering if we were ever going to get to do outdoor poses, since it had rained a lot of the morning. Luck was on our side though as it cleared up for us in the afternoon.
