Location sessions are the thing this year! Last week we headed out with Ashley and enjoyed another great Portland day. We are a little behind in blogging, so thanks for being so patient Ashely...

And even though the weather is warm it is always a great idea to bring a jacket and some long sleeved outfits

We found this fabulous red door at a church downtown...

And of course we finished up at our new favorite place to end a session...

Alycia booked our Model for the Day Session! What a great day we had...We started out at the studio with a make up artist, where we also did some indoor and outdoor work. Next we headed to downtown Portland in the Pearl. So much great architecture there. After going to several places downtown, we headed to the Eastside Esplanade for a bit.

We ended our day at one of my new favorites places... the fountains across from the Keller Auditorium. It is wonderful fountain and is even better if you aren't afraid to "get wet". And Alycia wasn't afraid at all!!!

Kayla & Chris ~ Portland Couple's Photography

Kayla and Chris joined on a warm summer afternoon to capture a few moments of fun... We tried out some great new spots, always an adventure when photographing in downtown Portland. We have so enjoyed all of the location sessions we have been able to take part in this summer.

Aren't they just so adorable together... and I love those Red High Heels!

We ended up our afternoon on the Columbia River and even managed to get this couple into the water!! Thank you Kayla and Chris for letting us capture this moment in your lives...

Carolyn and Garrett ~ Portland Couple's Photography

Carolyn and Garrett came down from Seattle for a couple's photo session. We were able to try out a new fountain in downtown Portland! It was really beautiful and the area had a wide variety of places to shoot.

Here comes Xander...

Welcome to a new family coming to visit Photographs by Kellie! We had the pleasure of meeting Xander last week. When he first arrived he was only a little shy. And as with all two year olds, it didn't take him long to feel at home.
We even managed to get a couple of smiles out of him...

And he even stopped and sat still for a couple of moments!

At the end of the session we decided to do "Rub a dub a dub, dub, a toddler in a tub". He loved!

Sam and Ben ~ Portland Engagement Session

So where do you take blazer fans for an engagement session... the Rose Garden of course. We talked about having these two run through the fountain, but decided it against it since we were really just getting started with the session.

I just love that wall with the blazer players in the background... we walked over and did a few images right in front of it, but I really like this one where Sam and Ben are just walking along the street.

After the Rose Garden we headed downtown to play a little. We even managed to get Sam to get her feet wet.

And there is always time for a little snuggle along the way...

Say hello to Shelbi...

We always love welcoming new families to our "family". Shelbi's mom brought her in and of course they brought along their two adorable dogs. I was so happy that we were able to get them to sit still for a few images.
Shelbi did a great job!

Of course we had to have her pose with our favorite tree...

Amy and Joe ~ Portland Wedding Photographer

We had the pleasure of photographing Amy and Joe's wedding recently. What a great day it was, yes, it was warm, but the bride was beautiful and the groom was dashing... I just loved the detail on Amy's dress, the intricate pattern of the beads was wonderful.

And since Joe is quite taller than Amy, it was quite fitting that she had very high heels I caught this tender moment as Amy's mom walked her down the aisle

Laura and Kyle ~ Portland Wedding Photography

It was a warm and beautiful day at the Willamette Valley Vineyards in Turner as we all got together to celebrate Laura and Kyle's wedding. Doug got to hang out with the guys for a while at their hotel and had a great time with them all.
We snuck Laura and Kyle away so they could have their "first look" at each other all dressed as bride and groom.

And of course when at a vineyard you just have to visit the grape fields...

Here is a fun shot during the ceremony, you can tell the joy they have even though you can't really see their faces...

Later we went out onto the grounds to try and catch a little sunset beauty, I think we managed to accomplish that...

We are so happy that senior season has arrived! Again we decided to start early for this session too so we could beat the heat... now that it has cooled off things might get a little easier temp wise. We actually went back to Jenkins Estate for this senior as well, with so many different places to photograph, it makes for a perfect location. Hope you enjoy this glimpse of Natasha's session.
