Do you ever just ask yourself that question. It seems the older I get the faster time goes by, I am not sure why it feels that way. I have a few sessions I could post photos from, but our clients are giving them as Christmas gifts, so I don't want to spoil the surprise :)
This has been a year of highs and lows, the highs would be the great relationships we have continued to build with all of you. We so much appreciate all of our clients, many of whom have become friends. The low would be the decline in health of my mom and her too quick passing on December 3rd.
I tried to prepare myself for that day, but had no idea how my heart would break. Even now it sometimes seems like a dream to me. I walk around in a half daze a lot of the time, so if I have not replied to your email or phone call, that is the reason why. It has been good keeping busy though, so thanks for the sessions, orders and such to keep my mind occupied.
I did actually laugh and feel like myself for about two minutes yesterday, so I know the real me is in there somewhere and will eventually come out. For those of you who didn't know my mom, she was wonderful. I am so thankful that I have taken portraits of her the last couple of years. I really believe what I say, "One Life, Document It, No Regrets", it truly has more meaning to me now.
Here's a few memories of mom...

Here they come again...
Love this family and so glad to have them back to visit again... This little sweetie took a little while to get warmed up but once she did we managed to get a few smiles out of her. Big brother always has a great time and keeps us all smiling. Hope you enjoy!

Oh so cute
How fast they grow is all I can say. It seems it was just yesterday this family was in for a newborn session and look at this little guy now. That is the reason I always tell folks to be sure to let us capture these memories while your children are growing. It really is time you can't get back... Hope you enjoy these!

Sweet Family
Last week we had the pleasure of meeting a great new family. And since they had a new baby and several in the family, we took the studio to them to make things easier. Hope you enjoy this little glimpse!

Autumn and Collin ~ Portland Couples Photography
It was a chilly morning when we got together with Autumn and Collin to spend some time at the Chinese Garden in Downtown Portland. For those of you who are not engaged yet, a couples session might be just right for you.
Besides being a little chilly, we all had a really great time. We were so glad to be able to meet with Autumn and Collin to celebrate their love... Hope you enjoy this glimpse of their session!

Congratulations Amy and Jeff
We had such a great day with Amy and Jeff... they are a wonderful couple and we really enjoyed them, their families and the wedding party. The weather was incredible for a Saturday in October, we were holding our breath all week. And of course I can never resist the urge to play in the street. Thank you Amy and Jeff for a most wonderful day. We appreciate you letting us play a part in it!!
After getting ready we headed to the Jenkin's Estate where we had photographed this couples engagement session a few months ago. The scenery is beautiful there. The wedding party joined in the fun after Amy and Jeff had their first moment together to start their day.
After the Jenkin's Estate we all headed to downtown Portland to Old Church where the wedding was held. And afterwards the reception was at the Tiffany Center.

Ben
Love those orange wrestling shoes... we had fun using them as a prop during Ben's session. Thank you Helen for referring Ben to our studio.

Kevin
Portland has so many great places to explore and photograph. We met Kevin in NW Portland and made our way around. I was so happy when the train came by just at the right moment to be the backdrop for a great shot. Hope you enjoy this glimpse of Kevin's senior portrait session...

Love that red hair...
We had a wonderful afternoon with Corrine while we photographed her senior pictures. The sunlight was beautiful... and reflected wonderfully in her red hair. We made our way around our Westside location and some great areas close by. Hope you enjoy this little glimpse of Corrine's session...
